Hello from Humera

Interior Design is my first love, however, it was only after a Bachelors in Economics & Management and an MBA that I decided to pursue my passion for interior design as a career. I got a certificate in Interior Design from Parsons The New School for Design and worked with industry pros on residential & commercial projects as well as on set design for ad campaigns. I also worked in real estate for a few years that gave me additional insight into improving the value of homes through interior design.

My rich skill set and experience give me an edge to help clients get the best results from the resources available.

Style

After traveling around the world extensively and making a home in a new country many times, I enjoy working with a variety of styles. I like layering old and new, modern and traditional, eclectic and global so the final space is unique and refreshing. I believe design is not making beauty. Beauty emerges from selections, affinities, integration and love.

Approach

A well designed space is a carefully crafted balance between 3 key elements- beauty, functionality and resources. With so much inspiration around us these days, it can get overwhelming to come up with a solid plan that achieves these objectives, and even more challenging to successfully execute such a plan. I like to simplify interior design for my clients by bringing clarity at each step of the process so you get the help you need but feel in control of your space.

Network

Over the years I have built a vast trade network that makes it possible for me to source from a huge selection of brands at competitive prices. This in turn means my clients get high quality products at prices lower than they can get on their own.
